Judy, Catie
‘Tis the season to be jolly. Between studio work and familial obligations I spent a night drawing my friends an image for a Christmas party they are throwing. I did this for them for fun, but hopefully they did not think I was making fun of them. It’s been a while since I’ve drawn real people, so this drawing only turned out somewhat accurate… oh well. Their original want was a pin-up christmas themed drawing of the two of them which wound up being more ambitious than I had time for. Also drawing your friends in festive negligee is weird. Also also: horrible christmas sweaters are rad.
Please email me if you would like a semi-accurate and strage sketch of yourself.

I recently received a package from my dear friend Amy Lorencz who now lives in Halifax whilst pursuing a Masters of Library and Information Studies degree. She had promised to send me a few bulbs of her father’s very delicious garlic after getting settled into her new home and mentioned that she may put in some games that she no longer needed as well.

Anyone who knows me well knows that I have a penchant for (especially older) video games. It looks like I have some very good gaming in my future. Much love and thanks Amy!
And the garlic is delicious!
Just some sketches I did of people I saw while on the road a couple months ago.

Some Chick-dude in a Tim Horton's.

I drew her from memory and basically just remembered that I saw a girl.

Professor Reed would be a good name for an English Prof.
I planned on taking the day off, but got caught up working on a project I’ve been conceptualizing forever. It’s going to be a lot of work, but I laid some good groundwork today instead of watching cartoons as I’m wont to do. It is fortunate when productivity sneaks up on you.

Sometimes I wish that I did not live in Saskatchewan. Not because it’s such a horrible place to live, but because it is a desert all year round. Summers get too hot and winters too cold. I like extreme weather, but have to listen to everyone say ‘boy dere, it’s pretty warm out, eh?’ in their thick Saskatchewanian accent. Then when it isn’t that warm everyone is like, ‘how bout this weather, huh? I thought it was s’posta be summer!’ Then I remember that the prairies used to be an ocean bed millions of years ago and I think that is cool. Shit, I should have done a drawing about that.

Sometimes drawings don't make sense
OK! I have a bad habit of sleeping in and not getting rolling on work until about 3:30. Then I wonder why I want to stay up all night working. Vicious cycle!
